Heirloom Wedding Experience

A fully guided, luxury storytelling experience for couples who care about presence, detail, and legacy.

The Heirloom Wedding Experience is the most complete wedding photography offering by Photography by Nimmy. It is designed for couples who want a deeply considered, fully guided experience across their wedding day or wedding weekend.

This is for weddings where the photographs are not an afterthought. They are part of the legacy of the day.

From the beginning, we look at the whole story: the people, the setting, the atmosphere, the light, the details, the family history, the pace of the day, and how you want your images to feel years from now.

Based in Whangārei and photographing weddings across Northland, Auckland and Aotearoa New Zealand, I create wedding photography that feels honest, artful and timeless, while still holding the real warmth, colour and emotion of the day.

What makes this different

This is not a standard wedding package with a few extras added on.

The Heirloom Wedding Experience is a more involved way of working. It gives the photography more space before, during and after the wedding, so the final collection feels cohesive, personal and made to last.

It is designed for couples who want:

  • A calmer, more guided experience
  • More support with planning and photography timelines
  • Space for the full atmosphere of the day or weekend
  • A photographer who understands story, light, detail and emotion
  • A final collection that feels like an heirloom, not just a gallery link
  • Albums, prints and tangible pieces considered from the beginning
  • Photography that still feels true to the day, not overly filtered or trend-led

To keep this experience fully considered, I only take one Heirloom Wedding booking per weekend.

The experience

Before the wedding

The experience begins with a proper conversation.

We talk through what you are planning, what matters most to you, who needs to be photographed, what parts of the day carry meaning, and how the photography can support the rhythm of your wedding without taking over it.

This stage may include:

  • A wedding photography planning call
  • Creative direction for the photography
  • Timeline guidance
  • Family photo planning
  • Location and light planning
  • A photography-focused wedding brief
  • Advice around getting ready spaces, ceremony timing and portrait locations
  • Planning for albums, print and final image use
  • Travel and logistics support where needed

The goal is not to make your wedding feel like a photoshoot. It is to make sure the photography has enough structure behind it that you can relax into the day.

During the wedding

On the day, my approach is calm, observant and intentional.

There is space for the obvious parts of the story: the ceremony, portraits, family photos, speeches, dancing and celebration. But there is also room for the quieter pieces that often become the most meaningful later.

The morning light in the house. The people arriving. The dress hanging somewhere ordinary. The table before everyone sits down. The hand squeeze before walking in. The slightly chaotic family energy. The weather. The place. The little things that make the day yours.

For larger weddings or multi-location days, we can build in additional support, such as a second photographer, assistant, drone photography where permitted, or video coverage.

After the wedding

After the wedding, the experience continues.

Your final gallery is carefully edited in my clean, true-to-life style, with warmth, colour and depth preserved. The goal is for the images to still feel like your day years from now, not like a trend from one particular season.

You will receive a curated online gallery with high-resolution files and web-sized downloads. From there, we can also work through albums, fine art prints, parent albums, framed pieces and any additional pieces you would like to create from the collection.

This is where the word heirloom really matters.

The photographs are not only made to be shared online. They are made to be kept.
