Wedding Photography Packages Explained – Finding the Right Fit for Your Day
There is no such thing as a one size fits all wedding, and your photography package should reflect that. Every couple’s story unfolds differently, so the coverage you choose needs to match the pace and feeling of your day. Whether you are planning a big celebration, something quiet and simple, or a small Northland elopement, there is a way to document it that feels right.

When couples first reach out, one of the first questions I hear is, “How many hours do we actually need?” The honest answer is that it depends. It depends on your timeline, the kind of memories you want captured, and the moments that mean the most to you. Some couples want a full day of storytelling, from the first cup of coffee in the morning to the dance floor chaos at night. Others prefer a few focused hours that capture the heart of it all without the extras.
That is exactly why I created four wedding photography packages designed for couples across Whangārei, Northland, and around Aotearoa. Each one suits a different pace, celebration style, and approach.
The Essentialist – 3 Hours
Perfect for registry weddings or smaller gatherings. This package focuses on the ceremony and portraits, giving you the most important parts of the day in a clean and honest way. It is simple, calm, and full of feeling.
The Curator – 6 Hours
A popular choice for couples who want the ceremony, portraits, and part of the reception documented. This option allows time for gentle pacing, in-between moments, and the natural flow of the afternoon. Nothing rushed, nothing forced.
The Storyteller – 9 Hours
Designed for couples who want the full story of their wedding day. This covers the getting ready stage, the ceremony, portraits, reception moments, and everything that happens in between. It suits people who love documentary style wedding photography and want the entire narrative captured beautifully.
The All In – 12 Hours
The entire day from start to finish. This package suits large weddings, multi location days, or couples who simply do not want to think about the clock at all. You get full coverage with room to breathe, move, and enjoy the day without feeling rushed.

Elopements and Intimate Weddings
If you are planning a smaller celebration or destination elopement, I also offer tailored elopement photography packages across Whangārei and Northland. These can be short and simple or more detailed if you want to include travel and extra creative coverage.
How I Work
Regardless of the package you choose, my approach stays the same. Calm. Observant. Flexible.
I work with the day as it unfolds. Every wedding has its own rhythm, and I follow that instead of forcing anything. When the timing works, I keep an eye out for golden hour. It is soft, warm, and incredibly flattering, and slipping out for a few minutes during this time can add something really special to your gallery. If the weather shifts, if we run behind, or if something unexpected happens, we adjust. My goal is to document your day in a way that feels real to you.
As a wedding photographer based in Whangārei and working throughout Northland, I help couples understand what kind of coverage makes the most sense for them. You do not need to have the entire plan sorted when we first chat. Bring your ideas and I will help shape the perfect fit.
Choosing What is Right for You
When choosing a wedding photography package, think about what moments you want documented and how you want to remember the day in years to come. If you value the full story, choose a longer package. Longer coverage often means we can take advantage of golden hour. If you prefer something more focused and relaxed, one of the shorter options might be perfect.
Every package includes careful editing, high resolution images, and a private online gallery to download and share.
If you are looking for a wedding photographer in Whangārei or anywhere in Northland who offers natural, storytelling style coverage with flexible packages that actually make sense, I would love to chat.
Wedding photography is not about ticking boxes. It is about capturing your story in a way that feels true, whether that is simple and quiet or full of energy from sunrise to midnight.
